Welcome to the Chilterns Shopping Centre. Here you will find all you need to know about the centre, its business and its values.
The Chilterns Shopping Centre was opened in May 1987 and is located in the heart of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, a town renowned for its innovation in furniture making.
The centre has a weekly average of 60,000 shoppers enjoying many of the well known high street stores such as Wilkinson, Primark, Post Office and Early Learning Centre. In addition we are pleased to welcome Yankee Central/Flower Corner and Toys UK to the centre and wish them every success in the future.
Our team of experienced Security Officers pride themselves in local knowledge and excel in helping our customers to enjoy a safe and relaxing atmosphere.
Throughout the calendar year our marketing company Messages PR organise various activities around such dates as Valentines Day, Shrove Tuesday, Mothering Sunday and Halloween. In the past we have sponsored real reindeer to attend the towns Christmas Lights Switching on Ceremony, who travel from the Cairngorms Mountains in Scotland.
The Chilterns Shopping Centre has dedicated itself to helping the community and works in close partnership with Wycombe District Council over a number of community based projects. Annually we have held an elderly and disabled evening in November, helped largely by Wycombe Youth Action, and in recent years have helped launch the local Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The centre has close links to both the Dial a Ride and Shopmobility schemes in High Wycombe.
As a founder member of the High Wycombe Town Centre Partnership we are actively involved with the management of the town centre with the Town Centre Manager.
The town of High Wycombe was awarded the Purple Flag accreditation in November 2010. This scheme recognises excellence in the management of town and city centres at night. Entertainment areas that achieve the standard will be those that offer a better night out to visitors. Purple Flag aims to raise standards and improve the quality of our towns and cities at night.
Just as Blue Flag is an indicator of a good beach, Purple Flag is set to be the indicator of where to go for a good night out so why not extend your visit to the town into the evening? The Chilterns Centre Management along with many other partners are working hard to make a visit to High Wycombe a great experience. |
